Going to the fair!

The girls and I plan on going out to the county fair today. Monday night we went up to the fair to enter some of our crafts in the open-class contests. It was pretty stressful actually, but I'm pretty sure that was mostly my fault. We brought 17 ITEMS to enter!!!! SO...6 of those were the girls..... ya, the rest were mine! lol I have never done this before so we will see how it goes. I'm so thankful to my husband for helping out! We had to write our address 3 TIMES on EACH card we filled out!! If I wasn't before, I am CERTAIN where we live now!! LOL
There was quite a lot of talented people there and many beautiful creations! Today we will go see if any of ours won anything and check out all the others, not to mention get to see the cow's and pigs!!! Now, all who know me well know I LOVE cow's and pigs!! My dream is to have my own some day!! This is in STARK contrast to my mother who isn't really thrilled with any animal that poops....um, that's ALL OF THEM mom!!! :)

Camping at the Lake!

We finally got up the courage to do another camp out after the last family campout in the rain! Funny enough, it rained every day we were there again!! But still, we had some fun, some unforgetable memories and some yummy food! Take a look:

My Kay loves to play with tootsie rolls like playdough...she made a little person that looked like Dora the Explorer....she got hungery!

Library Fun

Our library here has a cute room full of fun things to do and dress up in for little kids. Well, my littlest to my biggest kid had some fun in there and I wanted to share the photos!

Trip to Social Suppers

Recently, the kids and I got to finally go see what it is like over there at Social Suppers in Leavenworth. Social Suppers is a place where you can come and pay to make and bring home all sorts of fun meals for your family or for a gift to other families. The girls got to go and make calzones this day:)

Agricultural hall of fame Field Trip!

This was my FAVORITE field trip so far!! I can't believe it took me so long to do this!!! We got to spend 2 hours in a one room school house. It was a time warp back to 1919 and we were actually students with a super STRICT school marm!! We got to write and do challenges in math up front etc. etc. It was so totally fun!! We also got to do some chores from back then including smacking some dirty rugs, washboard washing some clothes and grinding some corn! We got to tour a period home and milk some "cows". We even got to plant some sunflower seeds and check out some REALLY old farm equipment! I hope we do this one again real soon cause Sammy had to miss it...( she was in Branson with grandma and grandpa Land so , no complaining!). Take a look!
