Latest craft, SUPER HERO CAPES!

Take a look over at Kelly's Crafty Creations to see some new super hero capes I made for my son and nephews 2nd birthday! ( batman and superman so far:)

And so it begins, POTTY TRAINING!

Our son Benjamin has just begun to show the tell tell signs potty training time. He has started pointing to his diaper and saying BLUCK! And then promptly motioned me to come to his room and fix it! LOL SO, the other day he went into the bathroom and started putting on his little toilet seat and "asked" to get me to put him on it! So, I said, "why not!" and put him up on there. I also gave him our connect four hand held game and a book:) He through the book:( and started talking on the "connect four" phone! LOL SO, of course, I had to take pictures of this and share them over the web!!! What's really funny is, a little later, my husband came in and showed me the pictures that HE'd taken as well! All this to say, he finally wanted off and low and behold, he had done the deed!!!!! My cute little pooper, pooped!! This was more then likely a fluke, but I'm gonna rejoice in it just the same!! :) Here are the infamous pics!

Look at that "cool dude" face!

I'm talking to Grandma here!!

Don't look at me, Privacy please!!

Ok, here's a smile, take the picture!!

My Utmost For His Highest

Yesterdays devotional in "My Utmost For His Highest" was a real blessing for me and I thought I would share it with you all. I hope it will also be a blessing for you:)

LOOK AGAIN AND THINK

"Take no thought for your life." Matthew 6:25

A warning which needs to be reiterated is that the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the lust of other things entering in, will choke all that God puts in. We are never free from the recurring tides of this encroachment. If it does not come on the line of clothes and food, it will come on the line of money or lack of money; of friends or lack of friends; or on the line of difficult circumstances. It is one steady encroachment all the time, and unless we allow the Spirit of God to raise up the standard against it, these things will come in like a flood.

"Take no thought for your life." "Be careful about one thing only," says our Lord - "your relationship to Me." Common sense shouts loud and says - "That is absurd, I must consider how I am going to live, I must consider what I am going to eat and drink." Jesus says you must not. Beware of allowing the thought that this statement is made by One Who does not understand our particular circumstances. Jesus Christ knows our circumstances better than we do, and He says we must not think about these things so as to make them the one concern of our life. Whenever there is competition, be sure that you put your relationship to God first.

"Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." How much evil has begun to threaten you to-day? What kind of mean little imps have been looking in and saying - Now what are you going to do next month - this summer? "Be anxious for nothing," Jesus says. Look again and think. Keep your mind on the "much more" of your heavenly Father.

Land family fun in the SNOW!

Saturday it finally got "warm" enough here in good old Kansas to make all this snow we have had wet enough to pack into shapes! Well, I took that opportunity to make a gigantic bolder for no apparent reason other then I haven't really ever made one before being a California girl and all:) Once my bolder got way to big to move, I called out the family and we finished it up and added some smaller boulders on top, thus creating a GINORMOUS snow LADY:) Have a look:)

It's hard to tell, but if you look hard you can see Kayla sticking her hand through the wall trying to freak out Ben....

it totally worked!.....:(

This one is Kayla trying to tunnel through this high pile of snow by the side of the road..

Here she is!!! Crystal the snow woman! This is Jason and Sam finishing her off...

Jason is actually very serious about snowman making... it has to be just right!

Serious business for him....

not so much for her...!lol

Me and my man....and our ...... snow woman:)

My super family:)

Recently our family was blessed to be able to attend a Answers in Genesis Conference!! Ken Ham was the main speaker there. If you haven't heard of him before is a very well known Creation Scientist. He is a main collaborator in the now finished creation museum in Kentucky! To read more about Answers in Genesis and Ken Ham go HERE. The web sight is LOADED with wonderful information! I have been following Mr. Ham for almost 8 years now, ever since I became a Christian. It was SUCH a blessing to be able to take my family and see him in person finally. Happy New Year!

A New Year’s Prayer

Another year is dawning
With the chance to start anew.
May I be kinder, wiser, Lord,
In all I say and do.

Not so caught up in selfish gain
That I would fail to see
The things in life that mean the most
Cost not a fancy fee.

The warm, kind word that I can give,
The outstretched hand to help,
The prayers I pray for those in need–
More precious these than wealth.

I know not what may lie ahead
Of laughter or of tears;
I only need to know each day
That You are walking near.

I’m thankful for this brand new year
As now I humbly pray,
My hand secure in Yours, dear Lord,
Each step along the way.

- – - written by Kay Hoffman

My prayer for all of you and myself is this:
That each of us grows closer to Christ this year. That we would choose time with Him over a movie, a video game or a TV show even just once. That we would consciously work each day at living our lives for him, instead of ourselves. Just being a human makes all these things pretty hard, but with Christ ALL THINGS are possible. May God bless your year!
