New crafts I've been making....

Here are a few things I have been making lately. Will be putting them up on the CUSTOM ORDERS page ofKelly's Crafty Creations. Enjoy!
Tissue paper holder

Travel Tic-Tac-Toe game

This is a great game for in the car! I made this with felt on one side so the pieces would "stick" and not fall all over the car. It folds up nicely to close the outer pocket of pieces:)

This one is made from recycled jeans and green felt.

Folds out into a fun board!

And here are the pieces... I did circles and squares for these.

Time for a girly one!

This is a really nice patchwork bi-fold wallet!

It has places for 12 cards and two long pockets behind those for bills, receipts etc...

It also has a zipper for change!! I'm starting to really get this zipper thing finally!

Magnetic button finishes it off! I REALLY like this.... what do you think about these new crafts???

New creations: Book Purse!

Here is my version of a book purse:) I used black felt for the interior and the sides. I used a lot of hot glue as well:) I chose a sewed on button and string closure ( drilled the holes to sew on the button). I took some really cool leather tube type string I got at the thrift store and braided it and used that as the handles (which I used duct tape to hold in place). As you can see, my daughter has already got it a little weathered! I got this cute idea from the REMODELAHOLIC blog sight. There are LOTS of tutorials out there, try it out!

Quick Red White and Blue Barrettes!

Picked up a bag of barrettes at a thrift store the other day, so I thought I would make some to match the purses for the girls. Here's a quick tutorial:

So, first I drew and cut out a good size star from a stencil. Then I copied that on all the felt and cut those out. I also glued some ... squigilley ribbon on the front of the barrette. Found out later it didn't really need it though.

Now take your exacto knife or something pokey :) and put a hole in the middle of the star. Then poke a brad through and secure it to the back.

Now I found some super perfect fabric type ribbon in my stash and cut three 3-4 inch strips. I took one end and folded it under after applying some super glue. Then I attached the top of the ribbon to the top of the barrette like so.

And there you have it!! I really like how these came out, they should be a fun addition to the purses and soon to the shirts!! That's next!
